Here is my original poem, “Perennially Rooted”. Each verse features a perennial flower and pairs it with a dose of encouragement. My Mother read the poem and she found that she loved what was written about hydrangeas. I on the other hand, am feeling a bit like a daisy. What’s really neat is each verse can stand alone, like a little pocket sized motivational mantra to pluck when you need to feel rooted. I hope you enjoy! Allons-y!

”Perennially Rooted” by Brittany Joy Fox
Stay rooted peony and be ready to unfurl your layers.
Your destiny is to inspire us to enjoy the moment and embrace:
”All the worlds a stage, and all the men and women merely players.”
Stay rooted lilac and embrace your lofty reach.
Branching out high above, your scent wafts to all nearby.
Butterfly, bee, and biophilic bipeds, making a lasting impact on each.
Stay rooted hydrangea and be able to adapt.
You have freedom to be a different color.
What we feed ourselves, changes ourselves, we are not trapped.
Stay rooted rose bush and grow strong.
Show us your strength in stem, thorn, and beauty.
A good reminder that pruning back can actually help us along.
Stay rooted daisy, in the garden of my mind.
Let me rooted, take bloom where I’m planted.
So, on the sunny days I’ll feel free to sway with the flow, relax, and unwind.
